OUR HISTORY
From ten provinces to one lodge
South Pioneers Outfitters was founded in 2004 by Ramiro de las Carreras, an agronomic engineer and MBA. His search for the ideal hunting destination took him across 10 provinces in Argentina, including Córdoba, Santiago del Estero, Salta, La Pampa, La Rioja, Catamarca, and Santa Fe. In northern San Luis, Ramiro discovered an unexplored and unspoiled area with exceptional potential for dove and pigeon hunting.
Since then, the region has evolved into Argentina’s newest agricultural frontier, with vast areas of irrigated crops supporting an impressive population of both pigeons and doves-all in one place.
In 2015 a modern and comfortable lodge was built in the heart of the best dove and pigeon hunting region in Argentina.

Our Field Team brings more than 20 years of experience guiding hunters across the region, with deep knowledge of the birds, the fields, and the ever-changing conditions. They know where to find the action and, just as importantly, how to create the right shooting experience for each hunter.
At the lodge, our House Staff Team brings that same level of experience and dedication to every detail of your stay.For more than 20 years, they have been welcoming hunters, anticipating their needs, and making every day feel effortless.
